| Introduction | ABOUT: Miss Theresa has spent 17 years working with children, 14 of them as a classroom teacher in NYC. Over her career, she has taught first, second, third and fourth grade. She is a passionate lover of all the arts and one of her favorite parts of teaching has been integrating art and arts & crafts with social studies, her two favorite subjects. She loves to doodle and has taught art journaling and embroidery in after school sessions. She loves dancing, especially freeze dance, and Zumba. She lives in Brooklyn, where she was born and raised. She married an Englishman and has two nieces, a nephew and a Tony Boloney (her youngest sisters’ dog). She enjoys traveling but is always happy to return to her home in Brooklyn. This year, her 40th year, Miss Theresa decided to give herself some time off of classroom teaching to do an “independent study” in Life, Art & Other Passions. She also started this blog in order to share “a little of everything she loves”: teaching, learning, making, creative inspiration, travel and home. |
