About me

Introduction A misplaced westerner, I was raised in rural Pennsylvania. A Revolutionary War era reenactor since I was three, American history runs through my blood. I am a veteran weaver and even met my husband at an 18th Century gun show. Living history has only fueled my desire to chase my childhood dream - to write western fiction. For me, the American West is the embodiment of human spirit; I strive to reflect that spirit in my stories. While I currently reside in Maryland with my husband Dave and our son, Zane, we are uprooting to his home-state of Tennessee.
Interests Historical Reenacting of the 18th and 19th Centuries, Photography, Reading, Researching and Writing the American West, Travel & Exploration (whenever we can get away!), Weaving, Jeep Off-Roading.
Favorite Movies Open Range, Lonesome Dove, Broken Trail, Last of the Dogmen, Blazing Saddles, McClintock!
Favorite Music I am a lover of many genres of music, anything that moves my soul. Bluegrass, Country, Rock, Classic Rock, or any combination. John Rich and Big Kenny of Big & Rich are heroes to me, through their music, songwriting skills and their inspirational drive to break down barriers standing in their way. Work Hard, Play Hard, and strive for your dreams.
Favorite Books I cut my teeth on Zane Grey novels, as well as most of the western classics. Lonesome Dove is a book I read once every year or so--I have two reenactment friends who are like fathers to me; they embody the living spirit of Gus and Call, so the book hits close to home and fuels fond memories of growing up in the reenactments.
