Introduction | I am currently teaching 3rd grade Math, and have previously taught 2nd grade and 5th grade. My experience in 5th grade really helped me focus on those key skills that my 2nd and 3rd graders needed to master that my 5th graders had not in earlier years. Skills such as subtraction with regrouping is crucial and when students don't learn it correctly in the early grades, they continue to do it wrong in the future. That is just one example. I thoroughly enjoy teaching 3rd grade Math because I am so passionate about Math. I am fairly new to blogging, but not new to technology. I stay pretty busy with my daily teaching responsibilities, but am hoping this year to devote more time to blogging about all the wonderful things that go on in my classroom. That is one of my educational goals this year. I hope you enjoy my posts and will share my blog with fellow educators. |
