| Introduction | My husband and I have been married since April 2005. Our son, Thomas was born 9 months later. He is an absolute joy and one of the happiest kids I know. He is so excited about everything around him. In January he was diagnosed with autism. Getting an autism diagnosis is a very difficult thing for a parent. I emailed a friend of a friend at the beginning that helping me so much in dealing with my feelings and "Welcome to the world of autism" was the title of her email. It stuck with me, so as I journal in this blog, I hope you understand what it is like to be in my shoes and know the things our family has been going through. Life can certainly be a challenge, but isn't it for everyone? Thanks for reading and welcome to our world! |
