| Introduction | We are small landlords who operate rental property as a part-time or full-time business without hired management. We provide 75% of all rental housing. This blog is written by Lenore Schloming and Skip Schloming. Lenore is president of the Small Property Owners Association-ACT. Skip is its executive director. The group was organized in 1987 and sponsored the 1994 statewide referendum that ended rent control in Massachusetts. Since then, SPOA-ACT has been successfully fighting to keep rent control out of Massachusetts. The group is also interested in many other issues affecting small landlords.
