| Introduction | My love for wine started many years ago at a friend’s dinner party. My host/ friend was serving a blush colored wine, from a carafe. I don’t quite remember the dinner, but I do remember my first sip of that wine. It was cold and fruity, full of ripe citrus and stone fruit combined. I couldn’t describe it then. All I knew was that I couldn’t stop drinking it, it was so good…..what made this wine taste this way? My quest of finding out started with an online wine course. Dozens of courses later I’m on the road to becoming a Master of Wine through WSET. My mission is to teach people about wine so that they can savor and enjoy and incorporate wine traditions from around the world, into their own lives. By the way, it turned out that that blush wine I was drinking was my hosts’ next door neighbors’ homemade wine. They had made it in their basement. So I can credit their homemade blush wine for putting me on the path I ‘m on today, bringing the global awareness of wine to the forefront, and educating people about wine and the regions they come from. |
