| Introduction | I am a true southern girl doing Permaculture in North Florida. Born and raised here, fighting off sand gnats, ticks, yellow flies and fire ants as I dig in the sandy soil.Our farm is in Jefferson County that touches the Georgia state line to the marshy sand of the Gulf of Mexico. We live in the lower flat woods.My Grandfather was a watermelon farmer and owned the Monticello Seed Company, My father had me in the garden as a toddler. My husband family (maloy) homesteaded and farmed the land we live on now shortly after the civil war. We raise Paso Fino horses and a little bit of everything on our farm. I am going to Canada this summer (2011) to take Earth Activist Training with Starhawk on a work-trade scholarship. Come join my journey as I develop Southern Style Permaculture and follow me to Canada in my training. Follow my projects and hopefully I will inspire you to join the movement too. |
