Introduction I served for 34 years in Regular and Reserve elements of the Canadian Armed Forces. Retired in 1993 in the rank of Colonel. At the time, I was Executive Secretary of National Defence Headquarters. Three years after retirement from the military, attended law school at University of Ottawa and then articled at the Federal Court Appeal. In 2022, founded first law office in Canada specializing in the Military Law. Appointed Adjunct Professor of Law at Ottawa University in 2009. Have co-authored four major legal texts on Canadian Military Law. Frequent media commentator on military and defence issues. In 2022, I was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Ontario Bar Association. Called to the Bar of Ontario and the Bar of Québec.
