Introduction I was born in Mathews County. After high school I couldn't wait to get out of here. After college and too many years working and living in the Rat Race of Northern VA, I realized I belonged in Mathews. I live in the same house I grew up in, right next door to my parents. Our life is quirky and eccentric, but that's just fine with me. In fact, quirky and eccentric are minimum requirements for living in Mathews. I'm a graduate of Mathews High School and the University of Virginia. Most of my career has been in Human Resources for companies such as Sprint, MCI,and Price Waterhouse(later PwC). I know very little about photography, but I enjoy taking pictures. My photos are never edited since I lack the knowledge and patience to make any changes. Every picture on this blog is straight out of the camera, a Canon Power Shot S5IS. I only know how to shoot in Auto mode, a problem I hope to address by taking a photography class. In 2011 I wrote a book called Mathews County, part of Arcadia Publishing's Then and Now series. I'm thinking about doing another book but have had difficulty deciding what to write about, there is so much. Thanks for stopping by!
