About me

Occupation Humanists in a Post-Modern Condition
Location Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Introduction We are concentrated in the Bridgeland/Renfrew area of Calgary.
Interests Wenzel is geared towards a discussion of daily life, from politics, to music, movies, sports and economics.
Favorite Movies There's a bunch of movies that tend to keep us glued to our seats, ranging from classics like Casablanca and Citizen Kane, to newer offerings like Lost in Translation, while a special spot is reserved for cult hits like Better Off Dead or Rosencrantx and Guildenstern Are Dead.
Favorite Music On-going and evolving, but a few albums we always seem to agree on and come back to are Pavement's Westing, Musket by Sextant, Thurston Moore's Pyschic Hearts, Surfer Rosa by Pixies, the first Elevator to Hell album, and Charles Mingus' Passions of Man.
Favorite Books Guy Debord's Society of the Spectacle, coupled with the Notebooks of Antonio Gramsci offer us our starting points. Timothy Findley, Tennesse Williams, Hemingway, and Faulkner are our literary friends, as is Henry Miller. David Foster Wallace, Thomas Pynchon, and Don Delillo are welcome for coffee anytime.

Please come up with a more appropriate name for the ringtoe:
