Introduction	I am an Australian economics student trying to come to grips with the current Financial crisis. In this blog I am covering a range of macroeconomic issues, such as fiscal and monetary policy, exchange rates and global trade/capital imbalances, studies of previous financial crises etc, and to interpret them with relevance to the extreme economic conditions we face. In the process I will attempt to unveil the underlying cause and solution to this crisis, how governments can actively prevent a 2nd Great Depression from eventuating, and what is required to move forward and to create a world of more sustainable growth
