| Introduction | I first met Hannah (Bookworm) on an archeological dig in Douai, France. Over years of correspondence, where she shared numerous short stories with me, I became a big fan of her writing. When the opportunity arose for collaboration, I eagerly jumped at it. Perhaps it was our shared interest in digging for bits and bones that led us to the topic of dogs. Add in our mutual love of Film Noire and Nicky was conceived. My real-life wire-fox terrier, Joop, provided inspiration for my drawings of Nicky. |
