Introduction | I started my traveling by taking my husband and son on a sail boat ride - which lasted almost 4 years to the date it started. We sailed from Victoria, BC, Canada down the west coat of the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, through the Panama Canal , over to Cartegena in Colombia (I'm a walled city fan) and then back up the eastern coast. The trip back was even better because when we hit Florida we entered the Inter Coastal Waterway - which is essentially a big ditch all up the coast. We had to come out and go around New Jersey because we drew too much water, but then got back into the Hudson River, followed it all the way to Troy, turned left and took the old Erie Barge Canal straight to Windsor, Ontario - where we ran out of water and had to take the boat out of the water. Sounds great, eh? Well the part I DIDN'T tell you is that it took me a year and a half to leave Mexico! |
