Have received year-long fellowships to the International Institute for Social History in Amsterdam, Russian Institute at Columbia University, and Leningrad State University. A founding editor, Journal of Social History (Chicago)Leader and initiator of Concerned Scholars on Cultural Exchange.Member, 5 person drafting committee on first petition against Vietnam War circulated among academics in southern California. No academic positions after leading protest against Soviet non-compliance with cultural exchange. Contributed position papers to leading presidential candidate in 1976. Currently auditing seminars in economics and international relations at BU, MIT, Harvard, while returning to active scholarship. |
