| Introduction | Fresh off a 2 year world tour with Hugh Laurie & The Copper Bottom Band, Sista Jean has teamed up with CB to release a 2-song double pack of music, originally recorded by Odetta, that is “RIP-ROARING ROLLICKING BLUES THAT WILL KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF”. Strongly influenced by Odetta, the Queen of American Folk Music (aptly named by Martin Luther King, Jr.), Sista Jean's singing career has ranged from background singer (with Tina Turner, Mick Jagger, Celine Dion), to the “International Dance Diva” (with “Dive Into The Pool”, the international Billboard charting song), and returning back home to her blues and acoustic music roots (with the Sista Jean & CB aptly titled debut album Back To The Root). Sista Jean's acoustic guitar partner CB, who has been touring with jazz singer Bobby Caldwell brings his talented acoustic guitar playing to accentuate Sista Jean's sultry emotional contralto vocals. |
