IntroductionMy husband and I moved from rural Oregon when we operated our bed & breakfast "Le Roost Lorane" in the wine region southwest of Eugene to Port Townsend Washington to build and restore sailboats. The greening of our faith, conscious consumerism, voluntary simplicity, environmental stewardship and enjoying the local bounty of fresh, organic produce either from local growers or natural foods stores are part of our everyday way of life. Once I discovered that I am gluten intolerant, we immediately began making radical changes to our diets, even making a choice to become pescatarians. As time goes by, we thought it might be possible to become vegetarians, but living here on the Puget Sound - we are really enjoying being able to harvest our own shellfish from nearby beaches and bays.
