| Introduction | Welcome to my blog! I am 36 years old and the mom to Delano Durante, who was born on August 16, 2012, and Lucy Aurelia, who was born on December 30, 2013. Prior to becoming a mom, I worked as an environmental scientist for an engineering firm, an independent contractor (doing environmental assessments), a special events bartender (mostly wedding receptions), a babysitter/nanny, a dog walker and a volunteer with the Chattanooga Humane Society. And yes, I do mean all at once. Go big or go home, right? Since having had babies, I still do some of those things, but the majority of my time is now spent as a SAHM. And I love EVERY minute of it!! I have an amazing husband (Lucas) who is pretty much SuperDad. He is also THE reason why I am able to stay at home and do what I love! I am also a half marathoner. In the past 4 years, I've completed 16 half marathons (between having 2 babies) and my next one is scheduled in March. I've also completed 2 Ragnar relays and have a third coming up in April. I started a blog because it seemed like the natural thing to do. Have a baby, quit your job, start a blog.....right?? |
