| Introduction | Retired I.T. professional. Living in Barrington, RI for the past 25 years; originally from Bridgeport, CT; spent formative years in Sandwich, MA. The eldest of six, raised in a home with two loving parents, with help from nearby grandparents. Ethnic descent is mostly Irish, Polish, and Rhode Island Yankee. Undergrad years were split between Marietta College and Clark University, majoring in mathematics. Got sober in my mid-20s -- at first in Lawrence, MA, and later North Attleboro, MA -- after ploughing through the lives of many, with such behavior continuing into sober years at times. Later, got married, had two children, did an MS in Management at Eastern Nazarene College, and also dropped out of a PhD program at Capella University due to being overloaded with responsibilities. I’m spoiled by my wife’s expert cooking, my kids are a great joy, and I’m happy to still have my five siblings around, along with their respective families, as well as my 91-year-young mother, who still golfs! I miss my father and grandparents and believe I came up with an effective means of dealing with any grieving process in the aftermath of my father’s passing, though I’ve yet to write it down. |
