| Introduction | Bob Boydston has been the Clay County Sheriff from 1993 – 2000. Sheriff Boydston returned to office in 2009. He has over 30 years experience in law enforcement working in state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies. He grew up in North Kansas City and graduated from North Kansas City high school. Sheriff Boydston attended Missouri State University and attained the Bachelor of Science degree and earned a Master degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Central Missouri University. In 1999 Sheriff Boydston was selected from hundreds of applications nationwide to attend Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Sheriff Boydston served as a US Army First Lieutenant in Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Sheriff Boydston has been involved in numerous civic organizations such as Youth Friends, Tri-County Mental Health Board, North Suburban Youth Football League, and the North Kansas City baseball programs. Sheriff Boydston is frequently asked to speak on Leadership and law enforcement issues. |
