| Introduction | I was born in the big town of Bunkie, LA. Can you believe it? A town called Bunkie....if it sounds kind of like a country bumpkin town, well, it's not--really. Bunkie is what some like to call the Cajun Crossroads, but I like to think of it as the "Mason-Dixon" line of Louisiana. You see, most folks that live in Bunkie or south of Bunkie are Crazy Catholic Cajuns. They like to drink beer, eat crawfish, marry other Catholics, and cook with roux. (For those who don't know what roux is, don't be afraid, it's just a little thickening agent for soups, stews, and gravies). Anyway, there's even a famous cookbook called, "Who's Ya Mama, Are you Catholic, and Can you cook a Roux?" I highly recommend it. Anyway, was I giving my bio? Oh yeah. Well, the people North of Bunkie are what you would call the Piney-Woods Rednecks. I can say that without insult, because I married one of them. Yes, that's right. This little Catholic girl moved up to Baptistville and married a fair-skinned, blue-eyed redneck who liked my cookin'. |

If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
Clay is something that represents my life, especially when God is molding me.
