| Interests | It started with reading: books, arguments, ideas that sound right until you sit with them, and a habit of writing out loud to see whether they hold up. That instinct for a second look eventually found a subject in healthcare financing, through my doctoral work, and pulled me towards public policy, social protection, and the economics of who gets looked after and who doesn't. The teaching and research life keeps me close to management education, finance, and business: the actual mechanics of how markets and organisations work, while a broader appetite for economics and global affairs keeps the reading wide. And away from the desk, sport is the counterweight: running, tennis, and a soft spot for Formula 1, where small, obsessive improvements decide whole seconds.
