| Introduction | The Author is a graduate of Cal State Northridge, with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with more than 30 years of experience in the field. This includes training and/or certifications for testing and troubleshooting power systems, designing computer systems, proposal management, safety training, and contract administration. Past experiences include work at Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), Crothall Services Group, and at Litton Data Systems as an Electrical Engineer and Management Analyst. These jobs required the management of several major projects providing engineering support for the LADWP Power System, various U.S Army Command and Control programs and all the U.S. Marine Corps’ field artillery units. These positions required travel all over the world, and interaction with many different peoples, cultures, and ideologies. With both the technical and social training and experiences, the author plans to use the INT100: Fundamentals of Information Technology & Literacy (INA2204A) course to design and build better computer systems that can be useful in everyday life. |
