Introduction	my name is jess hall, and i live on vancouver island in british columbia. i'm 20 years old, going to school at queen's university in ontario. in the summers i usually treeplant, which has been an amazing experience. this year i was given the opportunity to take an exchange. so instead of treeplanting, i'm moving to tokyo, one of the biggest cities in the world to study for 4 months and soak up some culture. i created this blog so that you- my friends- can check out what i'm doing and if i'm surviving or not. the culture shock is going to be crazy and this is kind of like facebook meets travel journal. i wanted to create something that wasn't available to my entire facebook contact list, so this is kind of just for friends i know will check out how my trip is going. i'm so excited!
Favorite movies	my all time favorite movie is Amelie Poulin, the soundtrack is my absolute favorite. i really like the movie into the wild, although i can't watch it all the time since its so intense. again, an amazing soundtrack. i'm down to watch animae at any given hour of the day, my favorite director being myazaki... and i love every and all quinten terintino movies, especially kill bill(s).
Favorite music	i like music. all kinds.
