| Introduction | I've been running since May 2007 - I am new to it. Tried my hand at weight-lifting but gave up as it was frustrating - I'm a hardgainer, and wasn't getting far, despite hard work!!!! Found my passion in running, and am now doing marathons, with my ultimate aim being the Marathon des Sables in 2010. What is it about a racing event which stipulates the obligatory carrying of flares, anti-venom, and funeral insurance, yet drives one almost to distraction? I have never been so motivationally driven by any sport as I am being right now with the MdS. It's impossible to explain in words. But it's TRUE!!! Roll on 2010. |
