| Introduction | Hi I am an artist based in Perth, Western Australia. Painting is how I balance my busy human resources job with my need to express myself creatively. I love working with colour and experimenting in different mediums. My paintings encompass a wide range of subjects and styles. I am currently working in watercolour/ mixed media and acrylic. My watercolour/ mixed media paintings are imaginative and reflect the community, the earth, and the past. They evolve organically as images emerge from within my subconscious. More recently I have been painting contemporary abstract acrylic paintings and use a similar approach where I start painting randomly, making decisions about composition in later layers. My work is currently exhibited at Jabiru Art Gallery & Cafe in the Swan Valley and is also available on-line. I also exhibit at group exhibitions arond Perth and aim to hold my first solo exhibition during 2009. I look forward to discussing art and receiving your feedback. Take care and have a great day. Cheers Nicky |
