| Introduction | Originally born in London, parents travelled to Australia where I grew up. Returned to UK to further my "education". Landed a job with a Japanese company, starting my long association with Japan and all things involved. Through my employer, Sumitomo, travelled to Japan with my then lawyer partner. He left, I stayed. Fast forward 8 years, met my husband. He was offered a position at a prestigious lab in New Mexico, where my two boys were born. Feeling the education and cultural setting would be advantageous for them, I moved back to Japan to be nearer ailing parent-in-laws. When Ojiichan tragically passed we discovered just HOW ill obaachan really was. This blog is mostly to vent and record my continued journey, but this time with dementia as my travelling companion. |
