| Introduction | To perform as a volunteer in a philanthropic organization is very satisfying yet difficult. Satisfying - because it offers you huge amount of mental satisfaction, which is difficult to derive from any similar activities. Difficult – as you need resources in terms of manpower, material and fund which are rare to found easily. In our kind of socio-economic structure, there remains huge scope to do a lot for the underprivileged and poorer section of the society. Pat does not come always, but most of the time. So in order to keep oneself motivated one needs to identify her /his role as a volunteer and monitor of her/his own. At SMAC, our aim is to improve the quality of life of persons living below poverty line. |
