| Introduction | This is where I hope I will keep an account of what a wheel-based life is like, I have been a wheelchair user for nearly 24 years and I think it is worth keeping an account, just on the off chance other wanted to know what it was like. Others have done the same on this and other sites, but we are all different and experience life in different way, so, perhaps, there might be something of interest in this blog too. This is definitely not a site for finding out how to manage with a new wheelchair, for from it, you won't find ant specific instructions. On the other hand, I might describe how I manage something but remember, unless you are over 6' tall, have long arms what I do probably won't work for you. Another thing to say is that my paralysis came on quickly and was called Multiple Sclerosis. As a result, I was told that I did not need to be taught how to cope with a wheelchair as I would only need it for a few weeks! ,start laughing now. I'm still here nearly 24 years later! as a result I have had to work it out for myself so what do is unconventional. |
| Interests | Cooking, Singing, Early Jewish History |
| Favorite music | Baroque really, though I like some later stuff such as Verdi's Requiem |
| Favorite books | Just read all the Rebus Novels; great. 'Day of the Trffids' I just finished but thought the cliff-hanger ending demanded another novel. |
