| Introduction | Happy, sometimes harried, 50 something wife, (one handsome husband) mother (two teenage children) and devoted dog owner (one faithful, manipulative rescue hound). I try to keep the family peace, feed my family healthily, be as good a wife, mother and role model as I can possibly be. I love staying fit, trying to stave off more worrying middle age health concerns, though I haven't quite beaten the battle of the bulge. I must admit I really enjoy good food and wine and dining out, so there might just be something to do with that ! I also adore the great outdoors and life, family and friends in general. I'm trying to carve a new career for myself in anticipation of the impending empty nest. Am alternately dreading and eagerly anticipating said empty nest, as it'll be great to see my chicks spread their wings and fly and also get my own life and time back! |
| Interests | The human condition, literature, art, music (various) theatre, food and wine, travel, both local and abroad, the great outdoors - hiking, swimming and fresh air at any opportunity! |

| Favorite music | Classical, (Prokoviev, Vivaldi, Chopin), jazz, good old Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, our great SA musicians: Just Jinger, The Parlotones, Prime Circle, Josie Field, Louise Carver, Brian Finch and Watershed. And of course I still love all that old teen stuff: Supertramp, The Who, Bad Company, Uriah Heep, Gravy Train, Spooky Tooth, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Crosby Stills, Nash and Young, Eric Clapton, Golden Earring, The Coronas the list goes on and on... |
