Introduction | Started in business in 1980, just as the Federal Reserve began to frequently intervene and heavily influence the United Staes economy. For 30 years, I worked to start new business groups, or companies, first in chemicals and eventually in specialty pharmaceuticals. My technical training served well in learning the economic/finance fundamentals necessary to be a corporate development/licensing manager. I retired in 2010, and have managed our family's' investments since. The Bible part of this blog comes from my experience as a mentally ill Christian who lost a young son. Following our son's death in 2010, I attended a graduate program on Bible and Contemporary issues. My faith kept me centered after Will's death, and University of St. Andrews Divinity scholars helped me focus on just what I believe is important. This blog tries to marry the experiences of a technical planner/investor with those of a bereaved Christian father and husband. |
