Introduction I'm a long time expat; I left the US in 2004 and have lived abroad since. Many people wouldn't move abroad because they don't to leave their friends, family and place they're familiar with; but I moved abroad precisely because I wanted to do those things. Don't get me wrong, I love my family and friends back home, but it's nice to go somewhere where you have no past. It's a kind of freedom you just can't have unless you move far away from where you grew up. I think everyone should experience it at some point in their lives.
Interests Love watching NBA and NFL, have got more into football-soccer but it's like a second language, you can never quite make it feel like your native tongue. Spend a lot of time reading about politics, especially the Colombian and American kind. I also read fiction and history in English and Spanish. I used to write a fair amount but have fallen out of the habit and am trying to get back into it through this blog.
