Introduction	I live in the DC metro area with my Colombian rocket scientist husband, Ed, and our two children, Julian and Sylvia. I’m stay at home mom and spend most of my time playing monopoly and attending tea parties. I also spend a lot of time cooking and decided to start a blog in order to keep track of my culinary creations. Anyone who knows me knows that my cooking has bouts of vegetarianism with vegan tendencies. This is in sharp contrast with my meat loving husband, who spent his formative years in Argentina dining on grass fed beef. Still after 7 years of marriage we are working towards a compromise on our collective dieting. To complicate matters, my husband also maintains a strict anti-migraine diet. One thing that we all agree on is eating nutritious, environmentally friendly, local food. We subscribe to Washington's Green Grocer, a local grocery delivery group that provides quality produce based on regional availability. Every Tuesday a large box of fresh fruits and vegetables magically appears on my stoop. It becomes my mission every evening to take full advantage of what our local farmers have provided us. That box is my inspiration.
