| Introduction | Growing up in Ghana, I always loved dressing up using mum's lipstick and wearing her jewellery, especially her necklaces, bangles and shoes.My late mum was a gifted fashion designer and I was naturally expected to take after her. Despite being surrounded by fabrics and beautiful garments, sketching designs and making clothes weren’t my thing. My passion came from thinking of ways to accessorise the clothes after they had been sown. In the end, I chose to train as a journalist and practiced in Ghana for three years before relocating to London 13 years ago. And in that time I have worked mostly in credit control roles and fraud investigation – a far cry from my early days surrounded by fabric, buttons and sewing machines. But there’s never been a day that I have forgotten my passion for styling, especially my favourite part - accessorising. Hope you enjoy my page... |
