Ray Lucia Sr. was born on April 3, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the age of ten, he moved with his family to Poway, California, and he grew up in San Diego County. As a student, he worked hard in academics while also dedicating himself to sports. He became known as a quarterback and played football for 1.5 years at Palomar Junior College. From there, he was recruited on scholarship to Western Illinois University. |
