| Introduction | Diagnosed with lupus in 2004 by Dr. Ng of Tung Shin Hospital - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after numerous visits to other most ridiculous doctors in Klang Valley! A specialist in Damansara Specialist Hospital sent me home with only MOBIC despite a positive ANA test, joint pains, swollen fingers .. did no further tests or works.Another just kept "milking" me RM 190 a week with over-priced consultation and meds! My very first symptom of lupus was "sausages" fingers, funny at first until it became all so painful to type and "give that finger" under the desk to my boss! Then joints started to hurt, I began to feel ancient. Diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis Class III and V early 2010. New challenges, more meds and frustration. Only my CATS keep me sane. So far, colposcopy, bone marrow aspiration, renal biopsy - let's hope it stops here! My wish is for more compassionate doctors in Malaysia, awareness over the disease and DOCTORS who actually care and don't brush all our symptoms away like we are some kind of nuts! email : sillylupie77@gmail.com |
