Introduction	I bought my first cookbooks when I was eighteen years old. I didn't know the first thing about cooking, but knew even then it was something I was compelled to do. I hosted my first dinner party for a group of twelve at age nineteen (I served turkey with stovetop stuffing and li'l smokies...I still had much to learn!) My friends and family have been along for my kitchen adventures ever since.
