About me

IntroductionHello, Hello. My name is Margaret Mead. I was born December 16, 1901 at the West Park Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. My father, Edward Sherwood Mead was a professor of Economics at the University of Pensylvania. My mother, Emily Fogg Mead, was a Sociologist. In 1919, I attended the Depauw University, but ended up transfering to Barnard University one year later. At Barnard, I took a course in Anthropology with Professor Franz Boas and his assistant, Dr. Ruth Benedict. In 1929, I recieved my PhD from Columbia University. I've authored a total of 39 books, where 15 of those were collaborations with other people. I wish I could go on more about me, but to keep this short I've had to cut a few things out. Though if you'd like to know more about me, Check my blogs. I will be posting a few. Good-Bye for now, it was a pleasure to meet you.
