Introduction | I have been a mom for 40+ years, a MoMMoM for 20+ years, a teacher for 27 years, and I have loved all of my years and all of my roles! I started my adult life rather young by marrying at 20 and starting our family at 22. I have four wonderful children who allowed me to enjoy life as a stay-at-home-mom for many years. When they were in K-5th, I returned to my education, picking up where I left off from College Park by graduating from Towson State University with a BA in Elementary Education. I have worked as a teacher in Howard County and Baltimore County, working with 5th-6th graders. I discovered my love of 5th graders at Edmondson Heights ES, which I continued at Relay Elementary. I earned my M.Ed at The Johns Hopkins University, followed by a Certificate awarded by The Johns Hopkins University for Leadership in Technology.Integration. For four years I served as a STEM Resource Teacher, and then happily returned to fifth grade teaching. Two years ago, I transferred to 3rd grade and am challenging myself to develop my skills in new content with my new younger friends. |
