| Introduction | The Medicine Bow Lodge And Guest Ranch is located at approximately 8500 feet in the Snowy Range of the Rocky Mountains. The closest town is Saratoga, Wyoming which is about 22 miles to the west. The land on which the Guest Ranch sits is located in the Medicine Bow National Forest. In 1917, Medicine Bow Lodge opened near Saratoga, Wyoming. We are proud to share great mountain views, rushing streams, towering fir trees and a true Old West experience for visitors to this beautiful part of our state. Fishing, hiking, horseback riding and evening campfires are among the memorable activities at the ranch during the summer. A deck overlooking the creek invites artists or readers to enjoy the peaceful surroundings in pristine mountain air. Winter visitors may be hunters, snowmobilers or cross country skiers, downhill skiers who return to the warmth of the Lodge after a day of exertion and excitement.There is something for everyone at Medicine Bow Lodge.
