| Introduction | I am a wife and the mother of two children. My husband is wonderful! My son, Jacob, was killed in a car accident on September 24, 2006 when he was 18 years old. My daughter is 19 years old. I'm crazy in love with both of my kids. Losing my son has been horrible, but my faith in God has kept me from losing hope. I know we will be together again! My reason for starting this blog was to have a place to write about this experience of losing Jacob and maybe, in the process, help others understand what a person goes through when they lose a child. If you have lost a child yourself, you may need to know that you are not alone in what you feel, or if you have a friend or family member who has lost a child, this might be a place to learn how you can be most helpful. Perhaps I can help you while also helping myself. |
