| Introduction | My Dharma name is Ben Le, it's a Chinese name that means "The Root of Restraint" I am a novice monk at the ChanLin Meditation Centre, after having finished two and a half years at the African Buddhist Seminary, at Nan Hua Temple in South Africa, a branch temple of Fo Guang Shan (Buddha's Light Mountain) a Taiwanese Buddhism order. I am in my third and final year, soon approaching graduation in December. I live a pretty simple life studying Buddhism and chanting the Buddha's Name (Nien Fo/Nembutsu) as much as i can. I am very interested in spreading the Buddha Dharma and any other useful life sciences into Africa, thats what this blog is all about. |
