| Introduction | I'm originally from Ohio, moved to western NC in the early 80's and have been here ever since. I teach middle school science and social studies at The Mountain Community School, a K-8 Charter School in Hendersonville, NC (which I helped found 13 years ago). Before becoming a teacher, I spent many years in the Entomology Department at NC State University. I coach our chess, Science Olympiad and Odyssey of the Mind teams and love my job! I've been married 29 years and we have three daughters, one in graduate school (plant breeding/bio-fuels), one in undergrad majoring in history and a high school freshman. |
