Introduction | I became a teacher to make a difference, and I hope to make a positive difference at DIA. This will be my 14th year teaching and my 6th here at Dual Immersion Academy. Creating a classroom where children of all levels and skills can succeed is a high priority for me. I also enjoy working with staff and fellow teachers to bring updated and unique programs and ideas to the entire school. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a wife and mother of four. I met my husband while living in Puerto Rico, where I also learned to speak fluent Spanish. My family and I speak Spanish at home and understand the importance and benefit of being multi-lingual. I love to read and I'm often found curled up with a book or reading to my children in my spare time. I love to be outdoors and enjoy hiking and camping. Humor and a sense of playfulness and fun make learning easy and enjoyable, and those things will always be found in my classroom! |
