Introduction | In high school I built a dune buggy, played baseball and goofed off. In college I studied music, played baseball, got serious and graduated with a BA in history. Then I became a Marine aviator flying A-4's, transferred to the Navy and spent five of my eleven years of service in the Philippines in VC-5 at Subic Bay. I was selected for adversary training at TOPGUN, and survived the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991. After the military I taught Bible and history at Silver State Christian School in Denver, Colorado, then flew as a co-pilot on a Westwind I for John Elway. In 1997 my family and I became Baptist missionaries to Kenya. I have been the administrator of Nairobi Baptist Bible College since 2000, and we've started three churches. In 1991 I married the love of my life, Leah Dequina, and we have three children, Jonathan, Ethan and Hannah. Due to health problems Leah was having in 2011-2012, we changed fields to the Philippines, and arrived here in 2013. |
