Introduction Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in fiction and nonfiction. Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they'll never forget. Interests Writing, movies, music, books, travel. Most of all, I love to laugh. Make me double over and tear up in gales of obnoxious, uncontrollable laughter and I'll most likely love you forever. I'm also interested in making the world a better place. Making people see things in a different way. Unapologetically challenging what I think is wrong with the world. Singing my song. Making sure the people I love know they're loved and spoil them absolutely rotten. Spending a little time each day to ponder life, the universe and everything. And Guitar Hero.

Favorite Books In particular I lean toward books that have been made into movies to understand the process of adaptation. (The Godfather, Fried Green Tomatoes) And I still regularly read my romance and horror brain candy (Jennifer Weiner, Danielle Steel, Stephen King, Dean Koontz). Lately I have been overdosing on a host of self help books (Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway, current project) and I typically inhale autobiographies within days. Standout novel of the past few years was The Blessing Stone by Barbara Wood. I also rather enjoyed Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. One of my favorite books of all time would be Where the Red Fern Grows, that taught me when I was only a kid how the magic of books could make you feel such a powerful connection to the creation of another. It probably planted a seed for the kind of books I want to write. Favorite non-fiction would be Stephen King's On Writing.
