Introduction	I was looking forward to retiring, having lots of spare time to mess around in my workshop, go sailing and walk the dog. But life is what happens to you rather that what you plan, and I'm doing all of those plus a heap more things, so I'm busier than ever and life sure is not boring.
Interests	Writing fiction, reading, music, marine design and sailing. Cruising in small boats, travel.
Favorite movies	2001 a space odyssey. Clockwork Orange, mainly for the music. Fantasia, the original version.
Favorite music	Classical, Celtic folk, Opera, Learning to play the ukulele.
Favorite books	Anything by Terry Pratchett, Arthur C Clark or Peter F Hamilton. I'm a Science Fiction fan.
