| Introduction | I am an athletic senior, currently suffering from a torn tendon that I earned for running my ET in a 10 k. I worked with aboriginal and at-risk-children for most of my life, coaching x-c skiing and managing a volley ball team (I am useless at the sport but great at raising travel money. I held several skiing and marathon canoeing records, including a gold in C-1 Masters and the record for the Yukon Riverquest (the longest canoe race in the world - 740k. For thirty years I worked as a volunteer for ski races and always my dream was to be an Olympic official and/or have one of my athletes make it to the Olympics. So in 2010, I am here. Unfortunately my Olympic experience was robbed from me unfairly when I was blamed for errors made by someone else and I was removed from the job I have done excellently over the past forty years..Let it go. After 2010 I hope to forget the humiliation and unjust treatment and get back to working with youth and writing. I hope to train at-risk youth to canoe with the goal of getting to London in 2014 or more realistically to 2018 summber games. |
