| Introduction | I was born in the Cache Valley of Northern Utah. My father, Ariel Benson, was a teacher and photographer. I followed his path in photography and teaching but went beyond in the world of photography. Our journey led Karen and our four sons to the islands of Micronesia in 1991 before internet could tell us any thing about the region. I taught and pursued photography. Saipan, the main island of the Commonwealth of the Mariana Islands became our home. We have raised our fours sons on the white sandy beaches of the islands. |
