| Introduction | First and foremost, this blog is for me. So when Emma is older and I've lost a few brain cells, we can come back to this and remember. Or at least have an option to remember. I'll re-read this in 10 years and say "oh yeahhhh - thank godness that's over" or remind myself that my 40 year old body won't be able to go through the zombie like experience again or really appreciate that I kept this blog to preserve this time of my life. Secondly, I thought it'd be nice to have a point of view of motherhood that's not sugarcoated. I'll try not to be crass or crude (sometimes it'll be the only option) but motherhood is not pretty and organized and clean. Although the internet makes it seem like it is, hiding behind photoshop or staged pictures, etc. Anyways, I can't promise anything and this blog's main goal is to preserve and embalm this time in my life. |
