| Introduction | I have been researching my family history for almost 10 years. My paternal ancestry is French Canadian and Irish. My maternal lines are all Acadian. I am a member of the Board of Directors of the American-French Genealogical Society. I am also a Director of the New England Regional Genealogical Consortium, Inc., and past member of the Acadian Cultural Society, New England Historic Genealogical Society, and American-Canadian Genealogical Society. After the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita, I became involved with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana. The BP Gulf Oil Disaster only added to an already bad situation. |
